Hey sports fans,

Here is the update on our awesome website, ilikemixin.com. So far, we haven't been able to access our website yet, but thankfully Ola has been working on that and we should be able to soon. Even so, our techies have been working on some programs that would allow us to put together songs, and possibly even modify them!  Our ad guru, has been looking into GoogleAds for ilikemixin.com, but we're waiting to find out how much financial information should be given to Google before moving forward with that section of the project. Our (informal) lawyer has been looking into court cases that show ilikemixin.com is legit, no lawsuits please! As for this blogger, I'm looking forward to meeting with the group again and getting this making a full scale assault on this project. Things are really starting to come together, and I think that we're going to make a lot of progress this weekend!

I'm off to the races, have a great weekend and look for more updates on ilikemixin.com!

Dear Team Members,

I have attempted to get Googe Adsense advertisments on the website www.ilikemixin.com
I could not proceed due to the fact that financial information is required. I emailed Professor Astrachan and he instructed me not to proceed with Google Adsense until h ehad decided how the financial information should be filled out.

Thank You,

Christopher Bobadilla

I like the bog. Useful legal material, which was used in class, can be found at http://www.cs.duke.edu/courses/cps182s/spring06/cscopyright/Copyrights/Copyright-Fairuse.htm In addition, useful legal material can be found at the U.S. copyright office website, which is http://www.copyright.gov/fls/fl102.html. I will be available to discuss this after class today.

First and foremost, thanks to Whitney for setting up the blog, it's much appreciated. This project should prove to be really interesting in our ability to not only create and manage a (profitable??) website but also push the limits in our audio 'mash-ups'. Of course, this will be especially relevant in the legal aspect of the project. I look forward to working as a blogger/ ombudsman and I think we have a great team.

this project will not be difficult to tackle. we plan on sitting down as a group and putting our ideas together to figure out how to complete the assignment. this will take each group member doing some research outside of class and before the meeting so that we can all be 'experts' on the topic.
